Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Intern to support software, hardware, and network operations within the organization. The role involves assisting with system deployment, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and managing user accounts. You will also support daily IT operations, including equipment maintenance and asset tracking, while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic team environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Software
- Testing & deployment of new and existing software.
- Make software available to appropriate users where applicable.
- Provide troubleshooting resolution and updating/upgrading of software to appropriate users.
- Ensure the anti-virus software is installed, kept up to date and working properly on all department stations, where appropriate.
- Backup, maintain and administrate user accounts for YYC Group users.
- Hardware
- Maintain and deploy all department computer peripheral equipment, as requested.
- Troubleshoot problems reported by users through the internal service form.
- Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty or maintenance contract.
- Provide troubleshooting resolution and updating/upgrading of hardware to all departments.
- Assist with and provide support/troubleshooting for server hardware.
- Any other tasks assigned by superiors.
- Network Management
- Maintain the network to ensure smooth daily operations for all departments.
- Set up, maintain, and remove user network accounts where appropriate.
- Carry out routine network maintenance tasks.
- Maintain network firewall, switches, router, and WiFi access point.
- Office Administration
- Maintain IT fixed asset list for office & branches.
- Perform audit for office IT equipment and update into Asset Inventory Management system.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must be currently studying a Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ software or equivalent academic background.
- Tech savvy.
- Experience in Microsoft Server Systems and Microsoft Office 365 will be an advantage.
- Experience in AutoCount, SQL, QNE, UBS, Xero, XPM software will be an advantage.
- Self-motivated, pro-active, and strong communication skills.
- Good team player and possess good working attitude.
