Job Summary

The Business Officer at YYC taxPOD (TBO) will play a key role in promoting and expanding the company’s tax e-learning platform among business clients. The primary responsibilities include client acquisition through cold calling, networking, and digital marketing, along with market research to identify client needs. The TBO will also be responsible for cross-selling and upselling additional tax-related services, such as tax planning and audit support. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and support to drive their success in client engagement and sales.

Job Responsibilities

Client Acquisition

  • The TBO role presents an exciting opportunity to drive the adoption and utilization of taxPOD’s innovative Tax Education Platform among business users.
  • Identify and pursue potential clients (individuals, small businesses, corporations) through cold calling, networking, digital marketing, and other outreach methods.
  • Conduct market research to identify business needs and target clients.
  • Generate leads and develop a pipeline of potential customers.

 

Cross-Selling and Upselling

  • Identify opportunities to sell additional tax-related services to existing clients (e.g., tax planning, business tax services, or audit support).
  • Upsell premium services based on client needs.
  • You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to enhance your client engagement and sales skills, ensuring your success in the role.

Job Requirements

  • SPM/STPM/Diploma/Degree in any field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Disciplined, positive, able to multitask, and has an outgoing personality.
  • Able to communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, and think analytically.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure clients receive the desired results.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
  • Malaysian citizen or candidate with relevant residence status.
  • Position is based in Penang.
